Sweet Garden Floral – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  What a busy Monday I have had.  Just getting around to making a quick and easy, #simplestamping, clean and simple card for a number of challenges, many sporting a similar theme.

First off, a birthday card to celebrate AAA Cards (#265) 10^th Anniversary…anything goes.

I selected Just Us Girls (#726) Word – Garden; CAS on Friday (#283) – Flowers; Addicted to CAS (#258) – Flowers; along with the Just Add ink (#701) Floral Inspiration photo with the lovely color palette; and am sharing with Paper Craft Crew (#568) for a card a beginner could be proud of.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3¾” x 5”) Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Delicate Floral image from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Garden Meadow stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • The Floral image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Poppy Parade, Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green.

And that was it!  The layers were adhered to the card base to complete the card.  Sometimes all you need is a great stamp, some ink and a bit of paper.
