Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#689) challenge. This week, Ann has selected a lovely set of colors for us to use plus adding a fourth. I chose Smoky Slate as all the other three have a gray undertone.

Inspiration for this card was influenced by: Inkspirational (#315) to pick a Season and an Occasion – how about Winter and Christmas; Jingle Belles (#2410) to use only Cardstock; Caffeinated Christmas (#29) to add Flowers and Krafty Chicks (#715) with this week’s Christmas theme.

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Lost Lagoon cardstock dry-embossed with the now retired Floral patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Accent Shape – Circle: (2¾”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with one of the Decorated Circle dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set.
- Focal Image – Cup of Flowers: Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather cardstock scraps.
- All images were stamped with Basic Gray ink.
- The Coffee Cup image from the Latte Love stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped and die-cut with the coordinating die from the Latte Love Dies set.
- The Poinsettia image from the retired Reason for the Season stamp set was stamped on all three colors of cardstock and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Shading was added to the Flower Layers and the Coffee Cup with the same Light colored Stampin’ Blends Markers. Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather.
- Sentiment Strips: Fresh Freesia cardstock scrap.
- The three lines, Be Merry, And, and Celebrate from the retired Holiday Invitation stamp were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The Lines were then closely trimmed with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base. The Poinsettia Layers were popped up with Dimensionals and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a bit of bling.
Unconventional Holiday colors but they work beautifully together for this fun little card.
