Hoo-RAY for Surprises – Hello Friend

Up and at ‘em on a Sunday morning…playing with the Facebook Global Design Project (#444) CASE of Kayla Renee’s card and using the bright, bold colors suggested by Creative Colours (#140) for my remake.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Support Panel: (3⅜” x 4⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
• Ray Background: (3½” x 5”) Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green cardstocks die-cut with the “Ray” die from the retired Patchwork Pieces Dies set.
  • Alternating color pieces were adhered to the Support Panel.
• Central Element – Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2¾”) Decorated Edged Circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set.
• Focal Image – Heart: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Floral Heart image from the Hooray for Surprises stamp set was stamped with Azure Afternoon ink.
  • The Flowers were colored with the Light Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • The Heart was die-cut with the coordinating Heart die from the Hooray for Surprises Dies set.
• Sentiment Tags: Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green cardstock scraps.
  • The words, hello and friend, from the Unbounded Love stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The words were then die-cut with one of the smaller Tag die from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Kayla’s overall layout. 

My heart is bursting with color for my friend…
