Leaf Collection – Good Things

Saturday and we have been out and about!  Sneaking in this card before dinner.  Happy weekend!

Playing with the Color Throwdown (#792) palette and inspiration photo along with this week’s Freshly Made (#635) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock.
• Side Panel: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • The Leaf Collection Background stamp was inked with Versamark ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder.
  • Using the Stampin’ Brayer, the panel was inked with Boho Blue ink and wiped clean.
  • The Leaf image from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink over the panel two times and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • The panel was then hand-torn to approximately (3” x 5”).
• Side Strip: (1¼” x 6”) retired Kraft paper from my stash.
  • The Line image from the now retired Inked & Tiled stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Strip was hand-torn to approximately (1” x 5”).
• Sentiment Strip: (3⅜” x ⅜”) Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You make good things better, from the Delicate Forest stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. 

I liked the organic feel of the colors which were suggestive of nature, hence the choice of leaf and wood elements.  Hand tearing complimented the outdoorsy effect.
