With pleasure, I accepted the Guest Designer role with the Tic Tac Toe team for Challenge Number 247. I picked the left column: Dry Emboss, Stripes and Plaid.

I was inspired to create for The Male Room (#186) and Alphabet (Letter C). Choosing the Automobile image from the retired Guy Greetings stamp set.

And choosing this photo for color inspiration:

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Black Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper pack.
- Accent Rectangle: (4” x 1½”) Black Speckled patterned piece of paper also from the retired Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper pack dry-embossed with the Diamond Plaid Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Using a Sanding Block, the embossed pattern was enhanced to bring out the Plaid detail.
- Accent Circles: Cherry Cobbler cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Focal Images: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Classic Automobile image was stamped twice with Basic Gray ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Sentiment Banner: Cherry Cobbler cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, To A Classic, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The sentiment was then die-cut with the (2¾ x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base. The Automobiles were popped up with Dimensionals.
Black and White with a pop of classic Cherry Cobbler for a Classy Guy!

What a great masculine card, I love your choice of colours as well as the vintage touch of your creation. The repeat car motif is wonderful, I also like how you enhanced each vehicle with a dark red half circle. The geometric patterns in the background do so well in a male card, andthe black card base looks like a frame to me. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
