Layers of Beauty – Best Wishes

Hi again!  This afternoon, I wanted to play with the Just Us Girls (#725) color combination.

I selected the Sketch Saturday (#750) layout.

and worked with Make My Monday (#225) Florals and chose to create a clean and simple card for Simply Clean & Simple (#11), who also has an optional twist for Flowers.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Two copy paper Stencil Masks were made with the (1¾” x 1⅝”) and (1½” x 1¼”) Hexagon dies from the retired Beautiful Shapes Dies set.
  • Using the Stencil Masks, Blending Brushes, Peach Pie and Highland Heather inks, the Hexagon Shapes were added to the panel to resemble the sketch.
  • The large Floral image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped over the Stenciled Hexagons with Basic Gray ink
• Sentiment Label: (3½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Using another Blending Brush, Smoky Slate ink was added to the paper.
  • The sentiment, Best Wishes, from the Layering Leaves stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the Elongated Stitched Hexagon die from the Thanks & Beyond Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin add-on product.
  • Additional small Floral images from the Layers of Beauty stamp set were added to the Label with Basic Gray ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

A lovely CAS, clean and simple card suitable for many occasions.
