Layered Floral Beauty – Heart Smile

Welcome back!  It’s Monday and the start of a brand-new week.  Play time in the Studio.

Just Add Ink (#700) is looking for Shimmer.

I chose to create with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder for Can You Handle the Pressure (#54) Feminine with the Pink and White Colors from The Card Concept (#206) Floral Inspiration Photo.

I selected the Freshly Made (#634) Sketch to bring my ideas together.

Here is the result:

LAYERS OF BEAUTY – LAYERED FLORALS 3D EF – JAI700 – CYHTP54 – TCC206 – FMS634

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Focal Panels: (5¼” x 4”) From my stash: Bubble Bath Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper and Brushed Silver cardstock, both retired, nested together and dry-embossed with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
    • The Bubble Bath Floral Embossed Panel was trimmed on the diagonal.
    • Using a Blending Brush and Berry Burst ink, the embossed Flowers were highlighted.
  • Accent Strip: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Sentiment Banner: Brushed Silver cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, you make my heart happy, from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was then trimmed on the diagonal.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Four Pretty in Pink 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added for a little more bling.

What a pretty card…
