Country Flowers – Flower Market

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#685) challenge.  This week, Claire has given us a bright and beautiful set of colors to work with.  Let’s have some fun!

I combined this week’s challenge with the Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#644) Layout which I flipped.  I also substituted the new In-Color Summer Splash for Bermuda Bay.

Here is the result:

COUNTRY FLOWERS BUNDLE – PP685 – TSOT644

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Summer Splash dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Vertical Strip: (1½” x 5⅜”) Summer Splash Stylized Floral patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Focal Panel: (2½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Milk Can, the Floral Spray and the Flower Market images from the Country Flowers stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The stamped image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Milk Can – a combination of Light Seaside Spray (retired) and Light Summer Splash; Small Flowers – Medium Daffodil Delight (retired); Large Flowers – Light and Dark Melon Mambo; Succulent Type Leaf – a combination of Light Seaside Spray and Light Granny Apple Green; and Leaves – Light and Dark Granny Apple Green.  Shadows were added using Light Seaside Spray.
    • The image was die-cut with the (2⅜” x 4”) Elongated Hexagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies set.
  • Shape – Flowers: Crushed Curry cardstock scrap die-cut with one of the Floral dies from the Country Flowers Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The two small Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals. Two sneak peeks from the new Catalog coming in May: The Country Flowers Bundle and the lovely Summer Splash In-Color.

  1. Gorgeous, Jolanda! Beautiful array of colors. I still have Bermuda Bay in my stash but the Seaside Spray is such a soothing color and serves as great substitute. Great use of our sketch! Thank you for playing along with us at TSOT.
