Country Flowers – Best Friend Ever

Welcome back!  Squeezing in a little play time for a few challenges.

A sneak peek of a new bundle coming next month: Country Flowers for Inspired By (#282) and Color Dare (#593).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Mint Macaron Gingham patterned piece of paper from the retired Country Gingham Designer Series Paper pack picking up the slightly green gingham pillow in the background of the inspiration photo.
  • The sentiment, Best Friend Ever and the Eyelet image from the Country Flowers stamp set were stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
• Shape – Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Flower Basket: Basic White and Pecan Pie cardstock scraps.
  • The Basket die, from the Country Flowers Dies set, was used to create the Basket.
  • The Basket was dry-embossed with the Cross Hatch patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber and Pecan Pie ink, the Basket details were highlighted.
  • The Floral image was stamped with Basic Beige ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Lemon Lolly (for Honey Butter) and Light and Dark Pool Party (for Glacier).
  • The Floral image was then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Country Flowers Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble a version of the suggested sketch.  The Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.

A sweet friendship card.  Loving the new stamp set and looking forward to making many more cards with it.
