Rev Up the Fun! – Birthday Card

Welcome to the newest round of the Cardz 4 Guyz (#344) challenge. This time we are creating with the colors Navy, Kraft and Red.  Such a classic combination.

I created a no nonsense #simplestamping clean and simple card for my guy.  I opted for the current AAA Cards (#262) sketch and decided to play along with Make My Monday (#222) for the theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Real Red cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Rev Up The Fun!  happy birthday, from the retired Rev Up the Fun! stamp set was stamped on its side with Night of Navy ink.
  • The Race Car image from the same stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink.
  • A Post-It-Note Mask was also created and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • The Race Car was masked and the Tire Tread image, also from the same stamp set was stamped with Crumb Cake ink.

And that is it!  Just stamps, ink and paper. Like most fellas, my guy likes things without a ton of frills.
