Let’s play!! It is Tuesday and time to create for this week’s Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#454). The original card can be found on page 25 of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog. It is essentially a scrap card putting together pretty pieces of paper.

I opted to create a anniversary / birthday card using the Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper for today’s Facebook Stampin’ Through The Catalog choice – Kiddin’ Around as it worked so nicely for the Heart’s Quest Celebrations of Love (#4).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Accent Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Azure Afternoon Dashed patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2024 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Focal Image – Boy with Posy: The Boy with the Flower image was fussy-cut from one of the patterned pieces of paper from the Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper pack with Paper Snips.
- Shapes – Squares and Circles: Colors were chosen that matched the fussy-cut image and all dies come from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Circle (1): Basic Whites cardstock = (2⅛”)
- Circle (2): Gorgeous Grape Heart patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2024 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack = (1¼”)
- Squares – Small: Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy Striped patterned pieces of paper from the 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack = (1½” x 1½”)
- Square (1) – Large: Cajun Graze Wood Grain patterned piece of paper from the 2020/2021 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack = (1⅞” x 1⅞”)
- Square (2) – Large: Highland Heather Wave patterned piece of paper from the 2019/2020 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack = (1⅞” x 1⅞”)
- Sentiment: (2¾” x ½”) Night of Navy cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Lots of Love, from the Marvelous Nature stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The sentiment was die-cut with the same-sized Banner die.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble a version of the sketch. Both the Boy and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.
A cute card. Can be used as a Birthday card as well as an Anniversary card.

Wonderful mix of colors and prints on this tulip holding young guy image card! 🙂 I can see this being used by a guy to give to his gal to recognize a dating anniversary or wedding anniversary! But I can also see it as a birthday card, especially for a neighbor boy that picks flowers out of your yard! 🙂 Thanks for creating this sweet card for HQCOLCB!

Hi Jolanda! That card is great. I must admit when I first saw the sketch for Case-ing Tuesday I was so intimated but your card nails it!

It was interesting creating the sketch measurements. The original is so pretty. I think the trick is the focal point. For example the Butterfly. Pick something that you like and then colors that are complimentary.
