Simply Zinnia Floral Blank Greeting Card

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#683) challenge.  This week, Ann has given us a plethora of choices with a Tic Tac Toe board.  Eight combinations, endless possibilities!

I chose the top row and have combined it with the Color Throwdown (#786) palette and As You See It (#320) for the sketch.  I also picked the center column from Tic Tac Toe (#244) for the addition of the embellishments.

Here is the result:

SIMPLY ZINNIA DIES – PP683 – CTD786 – AYSI320 – TTTC244

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Petal Pink Swiss Dot patterned piece of paper from the On-Line Exclusive Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Back Strip: (4” x ¾”) Colored scrap from my bin.  Originally Shimmery White cardstock sprayed with an Alcohol and Flirty Flamingo ink combination used in a previous project.
  • Top Strip: (4” x ¼”) Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon (retired).
  • Shape – Rectangle: (2” x 2¾”) Early Espresso cardstock die-cut with the (1⅞” x 2⅝”) Stitched Rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
  • Focal Images – Flowers: Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink and Early Espresso cardstock scraps.
    • Using Floral dies from the On-Line Exclusive Simply Zinnia Dies set, the Flower pieces were die-cut and then assembled.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals and several Very Vanilla Classic Matte Dots were added to complete the card.

A pretty card that can be used for any occasion.

  1. I like the way you’ve layered up the zinnias. The ribbon is a nice touch for one of the horizontal elements of the sketch. Thank you for joining us again at As You See It.
