Heartfelt Hellos – Enjoy Your Day

Welcome back!  How is it already the end of the month.  There are still a few challenges that have deadlines today…

Playing with Inspiration Station (#59) and just love the color combination of the dresses and the swirling movement of the wind.  I have combined the colors with the Atlantic Hearts (#570) sketch keeping it a single layer for a clean and simple, #simplestamping project. I opted for a Floral design similar to the sketch and for Seize the Birthday (#280) and I am sharing with Krafty Chicks (#709) for their Any Occasion theme.

Here is the result:

COLOR & CONTOUR – TROPICAL LEAF – HEARTFELT HELLOS – ISC59 – AHSC570 – STB280 – KCC709

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • With Masking Paper, a (4” x 1¼”) Sentiment Block was masked.
    • The Floral Outline image from the Color & Contour stamp set was stamped around the masked Sentiment Block with Melon Mambo ink.
    • The Floral In-Fill image was then added, also with Melon Mambo ink.
    • A few more of the Floral In-Fill images were stamped onto Masking Paper and fussy cut with Paper Snips to create Flower Masks.
    • With the Floral Masks in place, the Large Leaf image from the On-Line Exclusive Tropical Leaf stamp set was stamped with Lemon-Lime Twist ink.
    • Then the Small Leaf image from the same stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.
    • The Splatter image from the Color & Contour stamp set was stamped with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Shaded Spruce ink.
    • The Sentiment Block Mask was removed.
    • Using a Ruler and the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker, the Sentiment Block was outlined.
    • The sentiment, ENJOY your day, from the 2024 Sale-a-bration Heartfelt Hellos stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.
    • I created another Flower which I added to the Sentiment Block with a Dimensional and it was stamped the same way as described in steps 1 and 2 and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
    • The Flower Centers were colored using the Light Lemon-Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends Marker.

It is always amazing to me what can be created with just stamps, ink and paper.  What a nice birthday card.

  3. What a pretty card. I am really loving the bold colors and focal flower. It really puts me in the mood for spring. Masking is really a wonderfully underutilized technique, but it really works well on this card.

Thank you for joining us this week at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and look forward to seeing you again soon!

  4. Love this bright and cheerful card Jolanda! The colour combination is so terrific. Great idea to curl the edges of the flower for some extra texture. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Seize the Birthday.
