Yellow Tulips – My Mother’s Favorite

Easter is on its way…and I just knew that I could not show up at my mother’s house without a bright beautiful bunch of tulips.  I am ever so happy when they pop up in my yard as they always remind me of her.

Combining As You See It (#318) with both the Global Design Project (#435) and the Four Seasons (March) Mood Board with the colors suggested by Creative Colours (#131) substituting Old Olive for Garden Green.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock dry-embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.
• Accent Strip: (½” x 4¾”) Daffodil Delight Print patterned piece of paper from the retired 2022/2023 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Mat: (2¾” x 4⅛”) Old Olive cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (2⅝” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Newspaper Wrapped Tulips image from the retired Love is Kindness stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen; Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam and Light Old Olive.
  • The panel was die-cut with the (2⅝” x 4”) Rectangle die from the On-Line Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies set.
• Sentiment Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Easter Greetings from the retired Fable Friends stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and die-cut with the (1½”) Circle die from the same die set.
