Everyday Details – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!

A number of challenges today:  Time Out (#257) celebrating their 10th Anniversary; Festive Friday (#153) celebrating women with Flirty Flamingo Pink, White and Flowers; Global Design Project (#433) for the color choices; and the Tuesday Morning (#745) Sketch to bring it all together.

Here is the result:

EVERYDAY DETAILS – INKED & TILED – TOC257 – FF0153 – GDP433 – TMS745

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Daffodil Delight cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Rectangle Panels: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock smooched with colored inks picked up from the Stampin’ Glass Mat.  Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Copper Clay.
    • I created a card using those colors, some stencils and blending brushes for another project.  When I was finished the residual inks on the stencils and the glass mat were sprayed with water and a piece of cardstock was pressed and dragged through the colors resulting in an interesting background with colors resembling Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Pumpkin Pie.
    • The three (3¼” x 1¼”) Rectangles were die-cut with one of the dies from the retired Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set.
  • Focal Panel: (2½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Floral image from the Everyday Details stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors: Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Sea Foam.
    • The Floral image was die-cut with the (1⅞” x 3½”) Elongated Hexagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies set.
  • Sentiment Accent: Flirty Flamingo cardstock scrap
  • Sentiment: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Inked & Tiled stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • Both pieces were cut with the (2⅜” x ¾”) Countryside Corners die but truncated to create a shorter label.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Floral Panel and Sentiment Label were popped up with Dimensionals.
