Detailed Dogwood – Heartfelt Hellos

A quiet Sunday and a great day to be in the Studio.  I have another card for you today…

Over at TGIF (#460), the challenge is to use products from the Sale-a-bration Brochure that you can get for free with a qualifying purchase.

Over at As You See It (#317), the challenge is to use every element on the recipe card.

#1 – Dots: Opaque Faceted Gems; #2 – Embossing Folder: Softly Sophisticated; #3 – Ribbon: Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon; #4 – Dies: Thoughtful Expressions; and #5 – Plaid: Sunny Days Designer Series Paper – Petal Pink Grid along with the Stamp Sets – Heartfelt Hellos and Detailed Dogwood.

Bringing all this together, I selected the Freshly Made (#623) Sketch

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder.
• Diagonal Cut Panel: (4” x 3”) Petal Pink Grid patterned piece of paper from the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper pack trimmed to the (2”) mark on the left side.
• Diagonal Cross Strip: (5” x ⅝”) Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon.
• Accent Mat: (2½” x 4”) Calypso Coral cardstock die-cut with the (2¼” x 3⅞”) Stitched Scallop Rectangle die from the Thoughtful Expressions Dies set.
• Focal Image – Dogwood Bloom: (2” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Dogwood Branch image from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with both the Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The sentiment, Thinking of You, has been truncated from the Easter stamp image from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set.  Just the phrase was colored with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
  • I used the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend Marker to highlight the words.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Focal image was popped up with Dimensionals and Pool Party and Calypso Coral Opaque Faceted Gems were added for a bit of bling.  

Soft pretty colors for a pretty Thinking of You card.
