Epic Celebration – Bright Birthday Wishes

Welcome back!  Let’s get messy…

Today I created a teen birthday card inspired by a card created by Sarah Gray for Time Out (#256) and my take-aways are the Splatter / Ink Spot elements.  After all, this is the Inque Spot Studio!  Over at Seize the Birthday (#277) the optional twist is to add splatter.  I selected the Facebook Stampin’ Up! Colors for February to create a #simplestamping card based on the TGIF (#459) sketch.

Here is the result:

EPIC CELEBRATIONS – CHEERFUL DAISIES – TOC256 – STB277 – SUCC Feb 2024 – TGIFC459

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Vertical Panel: The Background image from the retired Love What You Do stamp set was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist ink to create a visual column.
    • Circle Elements: The Scatter Splotch image from the retired Gorgeous Leaves stamp set was stamped with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss inks.
    • Accent Elements: The Ink Spot image from the retired Textures & Frames stamp set was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.
  • Decoration – Sneakers: Basic White cardstock.
    • The Sneakers image from the retired Epic Celebrations stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the retired Dark Daffodil Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker.
    • The Sneakers were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Label: (2½” x ¾”) Pumpkin Pie cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Wishing you the brightest birthday, from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sneakers were popped up with Dimensionals for a fun teen birthday card using just Stamps, Ink and Paper.
