Love Birds – To the One I Love

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#675) challenge.  Joanne has given us a delightful Mood Borad full of Love-ly images.  I selected the image of the birds.

Rounding out my choices, I picked the colors from the Colorful Options (February) Mood Board and the Just Add Ink (#687) Sketch.  I am also sharing this card with the Facebook Joy of Sets (February) No Heart Valentine theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Bubble Bath Watercolor Wash patterned piece of paper from the Free Sale-a-bration Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (6½”) Boho Blue Textured Ribbon.
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration – Love Birds: The two Pink and Blue Birds were fussy-cut with Paper Snips from the Birds on Floral Branches patterned piece of paper also from the same Designer Series Paper pack.
• Sentiment – Love: Bubble Bath cardstock scrap die-cut with the word Love from The Love of Spring Dies set, an add-on Paper Pumpkin product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Birds are popped up with Dimensionals as is the entire Focal Panel and the Sentiment was glued in place.  Fresh Freesia (pink) Tinsel Gems were added for a little bling.

A very sweet love card.
