Established Elegance – Birthday Card

A few things on the go today, so I am getting another card done first thing this morning!

This card is a celebration of favorite retired stamp sets for the Alphabet (Letter V) for Vogue theme incorporating the Seize the Birthday (#276) colors and theme and bringing it all together with the Inspire Create (#160) sketch.

Here is the result:

ESTABLISHED ELEGANCE – SENSE OF TIME – PUNS FROM THE PAST – NOTES OF NATURE – ALPHABET Letter “V” – STB276 – ICC160

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  Still love that Linen look!
  • Cross Strip: (4” x 1½”) Pretty Peacock Dashed patterned piece of paper from the Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Background Panel Accent Mats: (1⅝” x 4⅛”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Background Panels: (1½” x 4”) Crumb Cake Dashed patterned pieces of paper from the Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Circle: (3½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Clock image from the retired Sense of Time stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
    • The “Label” Modes Aux Elegantes from the retired Established Elegance stamp set was also stamped with Pretty Peacock ink onto the Clock Face.
    • The Clock was fussy-cut with Paper Snips and then Crumb Cake ink was added with a Blending Brush to “antique” the Clock.
  • Decoration – Dress Form and Sewing Machine: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Dress Form image from the Established Elegance stamp set and the Sewing Machine image from the retired Puns from the Past stamp set were both stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment – Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Today is all about you – Happy Birthday, from the Notes of Nature stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and die-cut with the (2⅞” x ⅞”) Rectangle die from the retired Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set.
    • The Label was also “antiqued” with Crumb Cake ink using the Blending Brush.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Dress Form and the Sewing Machine were popped up with Dimensionals.

Stepping back in time for a nice birthday card.
