Botanical Leaves

Hi!  One more card for today.

Taking inspiration from the Color Throwdown (#778) photograph and the suggested colors and mixing it up with the Atlantic Hearts (#562) sketch for a subtle all occasion blank card.

Here is the result:

BOTANICAL LEAVES – CTD778 – AHSC562

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Striped Element: (½” x 6”) strips of the Boho Blue, Crumb Cake and Garden Green Dashed patterned pieces of paper from the 2023/2025 In-Colors, Neutrals and Regals Collections of Designer Series Paper packs.
    • The strips were cut into (2”) pieces and adhered to the right-side of the panel, alternating colors.
  • Cross Strip: (6½”) Boho Blue Textured Ribbon.
  • Focal Image – Potted Plant: (2½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Pot was created by using the Large Pomegranate image from the retired Perfect Pomegranate stamp set.  Boho Blue ink was applied to the lower part of the stamp eliminating the top of the fruit.
    • The Pot was masked with a Post-It-Note and the Greenery image from the Botanical Leaves stamp set (currently a Free Sale-a-bration selection) was stamped with Garden Green ink in 3 Generations (Full color and then stamped off twice more).
    • Using the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, Earth was added to the top of the Pot.
    • The image was die-cut with the (1⅞” x 3½”) Elongated Octagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch which I flipped to the vertical position to better suit my image.  The Focal image was popped up with Dimensionals.  I chose to not add a sentiment because I thought the card could be used for so many occasions, as needed.
