Stippled Roses – Beauty and the Beast

Welcome back!  Happy Friday to you all.

Deadlines and more.  Today’s card incorporates the Cupcake Inspirations (#586) Fairy Tale theme and the Sunday Stamps (#327) colors.  Along for the ride, I selected a row from the Tic Tac Toe (#240) board and the Freshly Made (#621) sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • From the center, the two Rose Leaves were die-cut with the Leaf die from the Stippled Roses Dies set for two of the side Shapes.
• Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • The Large Rose image from the Stippled Roses stamp set was used to stamp the background with Gray Granite ink.
• Center Shape: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Large Rose image was stamped again with Gray Granite ink.
  • The largest Rose was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors selected: Light and Dark Petal Pink and Calypso Coral.
  • The Rose was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment – Love: Poppy Parade cardstock scrap die-cut with the word Love from The Love of Spring Dies set, an add-on Paper Pumpkin product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch in an A2 format.  The Rose was popped up with Dimensionals and Gold Iridescent Enamel Dots from my stash were added to complete the card.

A lovely non-traditional love / valentine card.
