Heartfelt Hellos – Trusty Tool Box

Welcome back!  Getting at least one card in before class starts this afternoon.

The Global Design Project Team has a Color Challenge (#429) going on at the moment.  The colors, Poppy Parade, Lost Lagoon and Gray Granite can be found in the Free Sale-a-bration Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper.  So, that is where I started.  I chose a variation of the Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#639) for the layout and the Free Sale-a-bration Heartfelt Hellos stamp set.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Gray Granite cardstock dry-embossed with an older retired SU! Embossing Folder that is still in my collection but cannot recall the name.
• Cross Strip: (4” x ⅞”) Crushed Curry Ruler patterned piece of paper.
• Accent Mat: (3¼’ x 4⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Strips: (1” x 4”) Poppy Parade Screwdrivers; Gray Granite Screw Heads; and Lost Lagoon Screws patterned pieces of paper.
• Sentiment Label Accent Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Lost Lagoon cardstock scrap punched out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and then cut in half.
• Sentiment Label: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, ENJOY YOUR DAY, was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and then punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

All elements were arranged to resemble a variation of the sketch.  The Cross Strip Ruler was set under the Strip Block and the Sentiment was framed with the Lost Lagoon Accents and then centered and popped up with Dimensionals.

A super Guy card for any occasion and better yet that it was made with lots of free products.
