Happy Saturday! Hope you had a wonderful day.
Today I am working with the Tuesday Morning (#739) sketch and the Color Dare (#582) selection.

The sketch inspired me to think of Bokeh Dots and reminded me of a watercolor technique that I saw on Instagram.
Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
- Accent Panel: (4” x 5¼”) retired Polished Pink cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
- I hunted around for various sized circles (actually bottle caps) to use as a stamp.
- Starting with Berry Burst ink (for Rosy), the Ring Circles were added to the paper.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, water was added into the circle and up to the edge allowing the color to flow/float filling in the circle with color.
- Once dry (process speeded up by using the Heat Tool), the retired Just Jade ink (for Jade) Rings were added and the watercolor technique was repeated allowing overlap.
- Again, once dry, the Azure Afternoon ink (for Bluebird) Rings were added and water-colored.
- Sentiment Circle: (2”) Vellum
- I just couldn’t cover up my pretty painted circles so I opted to stamp the sentiment, Hello, from the free Sale-a-bration Heartfelt Hellos stamp set with Garden Green ink onto see-through Vellum.
- The Sentiment was then punched out with the (2”) Circle Punch.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
Isn’t that a cool watercolor technique? Every time, you will get a different look. The colors are complimentary and make for a friendly hello card.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
