Hometown Greetings – Season of Life

Design Team Time: For the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#429) Inspiration Board, I selected the image of the Row of Houses.

I chose to keep the card clean and simple and selected the AAA Cards (#256) Sketch and the Creative Colours (#123) suggestion.

There are a number of Winter themed challenges at the moment, and I am sharing this card with: Simply Clean & Simple (#7), Inspiration Station (#57) and Four Seasons (January).

Here is the result:

HOMETOWN GREETINGs DIES – SEASON OF CHIC – HSSIC429 – AAACC256 – CCC123 – SCS007 – ISC57 – FSC January 2024

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The sentiment, You Make Each Season of Life even More Beautiful, from the Season of Chic stamp set was stamped with Boho Blue ink.
  • Focal Scene – Houses: (4” x 2½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The Houses and Ground were die-cut with one of the House dies from the retired Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies set.
    • Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, color was added to the scene.  Foreground Snow – Boho Blue, Tree – Mossy Meadow, House Fronts – Tahitian Tide and Roofs – Pebbled Path.
    • Scraps of retired So Saffron cardstock were cut and pasted in behind the scene to light the Windows and Blueberry Bushel cardstock scraps were cut for the Roof and House detail.

The House scene was added to the bottom of the Panel to complete the card and resemble the sketch.

That is one cold and frosty day!  Yet, even Winter can be delightful when it nice and warm inside.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
