One more card for you today. Sometimes there is just not enough time during the week to get all the challenges done well before the due date.
Case in point…Color Throwdown (#772). Then along comes another one that sparks inspiration. Over at AAA Cards (#255) they are looking for “cold” colors along with a three element any shape clean and simple sketch.

Here is what I came up with:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Tahitian Tide cardstock.
- Card Front” (5” x 3¾”) Starry Sky cardstock.
- Three String Swirls from the retired Comfort & Hope stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder to suggest swirling snow.
- The Letters, J, O and Y, from the retired Playful Alphabet Dies set were die-cut from the centers of the String Swirls.
- Sentiment Label: Starry Sky cardstock scrap.
- Originally the sentiment, to you and yours THIS CHRISTMAS, from the Brightest Glow stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder directly to the Card Front, however, that got a bit messed up.
- So, the sentiment was stamped again and die-cut with the Label die from the retired Petals & More Thinlits Dies set and adhered over the original.
What JOY to be out and about for the Tree Lighting ceremony on a frosty evening. Happy Christmas.
Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

What cool string stamps! I love the effect it brings with heat embossing, I seriously thought you drew them or something. Very cool. I’m so glad you were able to play along with us at AAA Cards during the busy holiday season, hope to see more of you work!
