Fa La La – Merry Christmas

Welcome back!  Let’s play…I pulled out a few retired favorites for this one.

Inspiration: Just Add Ink (#681) Inspiration Photo – Tree, Colors and Sentiment; Tools: Global Design Project (#423) Letter Dies; Theme: Inspire Create (#157) Christmas; Theme: Make My Monday (#215) Christmas / Forest Tree; Layout: Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#437) Sketch found on page 21 of the September – December Mini Catalog.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Berry Burst cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Multi-color Stripe patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the retired Merry Patterns stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder along one of the blue stripes.
• Decoration – Background Pines: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Three Pine Tree die from the retired Pinewoods Dies set was die-cut three times.
  • The Pine Trees were liberally colored with Wink of Stella Glitter.
  • Once, dry, the Pine Trees were added to the top area of the Background Panel along the yellow/green stripes.
• Decoration – 3D Pine Tree: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The two Pine Tree dies from the retired In The Woods Framelits Dies set were die-cut.
  • The Pine Trees pieces were also liberally colored with Wink of Stella Glitter.
  • Once dry, the two Pine Tree pieces were layered together with the upper tree popped up with Dimensionals and the Boughs fluffed out.
  • The Pine Tree was adhered to the left side of the Background Panel.
• Sentiment Panel Accent Mat: Basic White cardstock scrap approximately (3½” x 1”).
• Sentiment Background Panel: (3⅜” x ⅞”) Lemon Lime Twist colored scrap from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
• Sentiment – Fa La La: (2” x 3”) Pink toned Striped patterned piece of paper remaining from the cut Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper used for the Background Panel.
  • The letters, F, A and L from the retired Playful Alphabet Dies set were die-cut.
  • The letters were arranged to spell FA, LA, LA and adhered to the Lemon Lime Twist Background.
  • The Sentiment Label was tucked in below the background Pine Trees and beside the large 3D Pine Tree.
