Magical Meadow – You Are The Best

Happy Sunday! After a weekend of rain, it is starting to lighten up and the sun is just peeking through. That makes me very happy.

Today I am playing with the Atlantic Hearts (#553) Slim Line Sketch and selected the colors from Color Throwdown (#771).  I also chose to do a bit of water coloring for Shopping Our Stash (#510) Splish Splash.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Petal Pink cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5½” x 3”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper painted with a wash of Lost Lagoon ink.  Once dry, Wink of Stella Glitter was liberally applied.  Hard to see in the photograph but really pretty in real life.
• Oval Shape: (3” x 2”) Fluid 100 Watercolor paper painted with a wash of Old Olive ink.
  • Once dry, the piece of paper was die-cut with the (2½” x 1⅜”) Oval die from the Handcrafted Elements Dies set.
• Decoration – Floral Fronds: (7½” x 3¾”) Vellum
  • The Vellum was colored with the Dark Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers in (2½”) Blocks.
  • The Floral Fronds dies from the Magical Meadows Dies set were die-cut.
• Sentiment Flag: Petal Pink cardstock scrap.
  • The Sentiment Flag was die-cut with the smallest die from the Countryside Corners Dies set.
  • The sentiment, You are the best, from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink.

All elements were arranged and adhered to resemble the sketch.  The Oval was popped up with Dimensionals.

A lovely little greeting card.
