Fun & Festive – Happy Christmas Wishes

Welcome back!  It’s Tuesday…Design Team Day…

I don’t know about you, but I often think that a card for a fellow is generally best if it is clean and simple.

So, I am combining Cardz 4 Guyz (#336) Festive Creatures with the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#428) Sketch and sharing with Just Us Girls (#707) for a great little Christmas card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Red-Toned Buffalo Check patterned piece of paper from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Moose image from the Fun & Festive stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Moose image was water-colored with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green inks using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
  • The Moose image was die-cut with the (2⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Greeting: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Happy Christmas Wishes, from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The words were cut apart and trimmed with Paper Snips.

A little glue, a little bit of layering and the card is complete.  My guy bearing gifts.  I love Fruit Cake.  How about you?
