Catching up on a few more deadlines. It’s going to be a busy week and deadlines are approaching.
Playing with several challenges today. Inspired By (#259) for Sketch and Colors; Alphabet (Letter O) for Owl; TGIF (#443) for the Harry Potter inspired image; The Male Room (#148) for the Sentiment; and picking up Color Dare (#571) Black and White with another color. I kind of chose no color by using Vellum and added a wee bit of Gray.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The background stamp, Fragrant Forest, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- A section of the panel was die-cut with the (2¾” x 2¾”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Overlay: (4” x 5¼”) Vellum.
- Focal Image/ Panel: (3¼” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Bird image (standing in for Owls) from the Marvelous Nature stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- The Bird image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips resulting in a (2¼” x 2”) Rectangle.
- Sentiment: Smoky Slate cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the Coffee With Friends stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink but heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The sentiment was die-cut with the (1⅛” x 1⅛”) Stitched Square die also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base. The Vellum was layered over the Background. The Cut-Out was affixed over the Vellum. The other pieces, Owls and Sentiment, were popped up with Dimensionals to resemble the sketch.
I can see the Owls flying to Hogwort’s with their messages through the Snowy Forest. Can you? These Owls are carrying “good thoughts” messages.
