Zoo Crew – Love You

Welcome back!  It is the start of a brand-new week, and I created a cute love card for CAS Colours & Sketches (#522).

Taking inspiration from the following challenges: Stampin’ Up! Only (#337) for a masculine card and Critter Crazy (#79) to add an animal incorporating stencils for Happy Little Stampers (October) and Inkspirational (#300) to add a matching envelope.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiments, love and YOU, from the Sentimental Park stamp set were stamped into Versamark ink and then into Blueberry Bushel ink and stamped.  The words were heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder using the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • Using the “Kisses” Crosses stencil from the Foursquare Decorative Masks set, a Sponge Dauber and Blueberry Bushel ink, the Crosses were added diagonally across the panel.
• Focal Image – Painting Hedgehog: Clipped image from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The image was colored and over-colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors Chosen: Light and Dark Fresh Freesia, Light and Dark Blueberry Bushel, Light Daffodil Delight and Light Crumb Cake.
  • The image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Frames: Basic White and Blueberry Bushel cardstock.
  • Circles were die-cut using the (2½”) and (2¾”) Circle dies from the Deckled Circles Dies set.
• Envelope: Basic White
  • The Flap was also sponged with Blueberry Bushel Crosses to match the card.

All elements were adhered together and the card was assembled.  The Heart Painting Hedgehog is a cute image for a clean and simple love card that is most suitable for a fellow.
