Whip It Up Wednesday – Simple Stamped Cards

Welcome back!  Today, I am featuring another really simple card template that can be used for a series of cards that can be whipped up quickly.

Here is the Template:

I am sharing these cards with Beautiful Blossoms (#9) and Simply Clean & Simple (#4).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Bases: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow and Pool Party cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3″ x 3″) Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow Floral patterned piece of patterned paper from the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper pack and Lost Lagoon Floral patterned piece of paper from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Strip: (3” x ¼”) Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock cardstock scraps.
• Cross Strips: (3½” x ½”) Vellum scrap and retired Soft Succulent Satin Ribbon.
  • Thanks Card Sentiment Label:
    • The sentiment, Thanks, from the Medley Mix stamp set was stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock with Pretty Peacock ink and trimmed to (1⅝” x ⅝”).
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, Lost Lagoon ink was applied to the edges.
• Birthday Card Sentiment Label:
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, also from the Medley Mix stamp set was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock scrap with Poppy Parade ink and punched out with the retired (1¾” x ⅞”) Oval Punch.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, Mossy Meadow ink was applied to the edges.

All elements were arranged on the card bases to resemble the sketch.  For interest, the sentiments were popped up with Dimensionals. 

With one 6” x 6” patterned piece of paper, coordinating scraps and two (for card bases) coordinating cardstock colors, you can make 4 nice cards!  Give it a try!
