Delightful Dragonfly – Celebrate You

Welcome back! It has been a busy day, and I am just now getting my card up.

Playing with Double Trouble (#146) and partnering with Tuesday Morning Sketches (#722) for a study in Black and White.

Here is the result:

DETAILED DRAGONFLY THINLITS DIES – DAINTY DELIGHT – DT146 – TMS722

Steps:

Card Base: (8½” x 8½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
Background Panel: (4” x 4”) Black and White Check patterned piece of paper from the retired All Together Designer Series Paper pack.
Circle: (3”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The sentiment, Celebrate You, from the Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
Decoration – Dragonfly: (3½” x 3’) Basic White and Basic Black cardstock.
- The Solid Dragonfly die from the retired Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies set was cut from the Basic White piece.
- The Wings were colored with the Light Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- Hard to see but, Wink of Stella Glitter was liberally applied to the Wings and looks so very pretty.
- The coordinating Detail Dragonfly die was cut from the Basic Black piece and adhered over the Solid Dagonfly.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Dragonfly popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty little card, perfect for tucking in with a special Birthday Gift.
