Sweet Treat

Welcome back!  It’s Friday and the weekend is almost here.  Have any creative plans?

I was able to spend some time in the Studio this afternoon and I am playing with Inspired By (#249) for the theme and the colors and choosing the Tuesday Morning (#718) sketch and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#675).  

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia Dotted patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle Shape: (2½”) Basic White cardstock previously embossed with a Gridded Waffle pattern from my scrap bin die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Ice Cream Cone: Basic White cardstock scraps and the retired Cool Treats stamp set.
  • The Cone image was stamped with 2^nd Generation (stamped off once) Pecan Pie ink.
  • The Ice Cream Scoop image was stamped twice, one with Bubble Bath ink and the other with Lemon Lolly ink.
  • Each Scoop was highlighted with a second inking of the Topping image.
  • Both the Cone and the Ice Cream Scoops were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • The Cherry image was punched out with a retired punch and colored with the Light Sweet Sorbet and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.
• Sentiment Label: (2” x ⅞’) Bubble Bath cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Sweet, from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Top Scoop was popped up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Treat in sweet girl colors.  A fun card to remind a young lady that she is as sweet as ice cream.
