By the Sea – Thinking of You

Hi! Welcome back.  I have another card for you this morning.  Playing in the Studio before I start prepping for tomorrow’s class.

Do you like to go to the Beach?  Is that how you spend part of your summer vacation?  Do you like to hunt for seashells?  Well, a few challenges are exploring that theme this week…

Inspired By (#245), Less Is More (#487) and Just Us Girls (#687).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅜” x 4⅝”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock and the retired By the Bay stamp set.
  • The Seashell in Sand image was stamped in the foreground and the Seagulls in Sand/Water image was stamped towards the background with Basic Gray ink.
  • Using my Pentel Fine-Tipped Liquid Gel Pen, I added additional scribbles to connect the two images.
  • The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Seagulls – Light Smoky Slate and lightened with the Color Lifter; Water – Light Balmy Blue; Sand – Light Crumb; and Seashell – Dark Petal Pink and retired Blush.
  • The sentiment, Thinking of You, was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.

Keeping the card CAS (clean and simple), this is a very calming and pretty card.
