Night of Flight – Gratitude

Happy Sunday!  Welcome back. Hoping you are having a great day and an opportunity to be creative.

Playing with a couple of challenges: Creative Colour (#96) and Freshly Made Sketches (#593) Using the new Hostess stamp set, Night of Flight.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Center Strip: (2¾” x 5½”) overall dimension.  Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso cardstock with a Vellum Basics Specialty Paper overlay.
  • The Leaf patterned Vellum paper and the Early Espresso cardstock were cut at (2¼” x 5½”).
  • The Cherry Cobbler scrap was cut at (1½” x 5½”) and torn in half and adhered to the sides of the strip.
• Focal Shape – Moth: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • One of the Moths from the Night of Flight stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the Moth was water-colored with Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Blackberry Bliss inks.
  • Once dry, the Moth was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Decoration: Early Espresso cardstock scrap die-cut twice with the Leafy Floral die from the retired Organic Beauty Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, With Gratitude, from the Earthen Textures stamp set was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink and narrowly trimmed.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Moth was popped up with Dimensionals.

Always handy to have thank you cards in your stash.
