Sending Loving Thoughts – Rosy Ranunculus

Welcome back!  Class is finished for today and I have a bit of play time…

Working with The Flower Challenge (#82) for a Floral CAS (clean and simple) card and the Inspired By (#244) Inspiration Photo.  I chose the central line from Tic Tac Toe (#215) Pink, Encouragement and Square so that I could incorporate the Stampin’ Up! Only (#330) Square theme.

In addition to the pink, I selected the other Color Throwdown (#750) colors of teal and gray.  As these colors are essentially pastel, I am sharing this card with Just Us Girls (#686) and If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#182).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 3¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3⅛” x 3⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Ranunculus Flower image from the retired Ranunculus Romance stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink as was the truncated sentiment, Sending Loving Thoughts, from the retired Sending Support stamp set.
  • Using a small stiff Stipple Brush, Bubble Bath ink was pounced onto the Flowers.
  • Similarly, Pool Party ink was added to the Leaves.
  • Using a Blender Pen, Pool Party ink was added to the Stems.

A quick, clean and simple, simple stamped card.  Just Stamps, Ink and Paper.

A soft floral card suitable for sympathy or get well and possibly a wedding or shower.
