Garden Rainbow – Hello

Welcome back!  I was inspired by my garden, which includes a kaleidoscope of color, for today’s card.

Playing with the Addicted to CAS (#240) for the color suggestion; Inkspirational (#292) for the texture; and selecting the current sketch presented by Paper Player (#646).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Pool Party cardstock dry-embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.  Tone-on-tone for a clean look.
• Strips: (5¼” x ¾”) Multi-colored (Rainbow) Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Accent: (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Basic White cardstock die cut with the Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Pool Party toned Flower: Flower and Floral pieces were fussy-cut with Paper Snips from one of the Floral patterned pieces of paper, also from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper pack and stacked together to create dimension.
• Sentiment Flag: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Hello, from the retired Ranunculus Romance stamp set was chosen for the font and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The word was die-cut with the (1½” x ⅜”) Stitched Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped sketch.  The Flower was popped up with Dimensionals.

A very pretty greeting card suitable for any occasion.
