A Flirty Flamingo having Fun on Wheels

A bright fun card for you this afternoon…

Playing with Time Out (#240) for a humorous sporty theme; TGIF (#425) to include a flip element for a fun fold, so sharing with Creative Creases (#59) and choosing the suggested Creative Colours (#94).

I picked the current sketch over at the share-only Paper Craft Crew site as my starting point.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Back: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Criss-Cross Envelope Panels: (10½” x 4” scored at 5¼”) Peekaboo Peach Polka Dotted and Flirty Flamingo Diamond patterned pies of paper from the retired 2016/2018 in-Color Envelope Paper pack.
  • The front patterned papers (5¼” x 4”) were cut on the diagonal.
  • The Flirty Flamingo piece was adhered to the Card Back.
  • The Peekaboo Peach piece was adhered into the Flirty Flamingo piece so that the diagonal flaps would overlap.
• Insert Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Look at you go, from the Fun on Wheels stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and adhered to the Peekaboo Peach piece.
• Focal Panel: (1⅞” x 2⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the Rounded Stitched Rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
• Focal Image – Skating Flamingo: Critter found on one of the patterned pieces of paper from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Skating Flamingo was clipped from the patterned paper and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • The Bird was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bird – Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo; Feathers and Skate Wheels – Dark Smoky Slate; and Skates – Dark Pumpkin Pie.
  • The Bird was added to the Focal Panel with Dimensionals and the Focal Panel was adhered to the Peekaboo Peach flap.

With all the confidence in the world, this Bird is skating with eyes closed and off she goes!  Look at you go, Girl!
