Green Garden Leaves

The men are enjoying some sports viewing this afternoon, giving me some more time to play in the Studio…

A very clean and simple card for CAS on Friday (#259) along with the current Freshly Made (#590) Sketch.

Here is the result:

GORGEOUS GARDEN DIES – BEAUTIFUL THISTLE – COS259 – FMS590

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • Block Strips: (2½” x ⅝”) colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Dark Soft Sea Foam, Light Old Olive and Light Mossy Meadow.
    • The sentiment, Best Wishes, from the retired Beautiful Thistle stamp set was stamped with retired Evening Evergreen ink.
  • Focal Image – Leaves: Evening Evergreen cardstock scrap from my bin.
    • The scrap piece was die-cut using the Leaf Background die from the Gorgeous Garden Dies set.
    • A section of the die-cut embossed Leaves was trimmed with Paper Snips and added to the card.

A lovely all occasion card.

  1. Beautiful and creative take on the sketch. I love how you created this artsy backdrop using the various shade of green and I love the silhouette effect of the foliage, too. Thanks so much for joining in at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
