Painted With Love…

And I am off for a few days of R&R.  I have run out of time and will miss a few challenges but thought I would get this last card in the books…aka the blog!

Starting with the TGIF (#424) sketch and the Global Design Project (#397) colors, I decided to add the sweet little Hedgehog from the Zoo Crew as my shape and share with Critter Crazy (#75).

Here is the result.

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Berry Burst and Azure Afternoon Celebration Confetti patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 2½”) Multi-colored Watercolor Striped piece of patterned paper, also from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack trimmed to include Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel and Azure Afternoon.
  • The sentiment, With Love, from the Country Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder along one of the Stripes standing in for the Cross Strip as shown on the sketch layout.
• Shape – Painting Hedgehog: Clipped image from one of the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper pack pages.
  • The Hedgehog and Paint Easel was trimmed with Paper Snips.
  • The image was colored.
    • The Easel, the Painting Edge and the Heart were colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon and Berry Burst, respectively.
    • The Hedgehog was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Body – Light Bubble Bath and Fur/Quills – Light and Dark Crumb Cake.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Painting Hedgehog was popped up with Dimensionals.
