Fun on Wheels – Friendly Adventure

One more card for today…for a few more challenges:  Tic Tac Toe (#212) for the diagonal row including yellow, a friendly sentiment and a free space; Choosing the Creative Colours (#92) for this week which includes a yellow and two neutrals; and picking the sample on page 49 of the Stampin’ Up! 2023/2024 Annual Catalog for Paper Craft Crew (#521) to play with another new stamp set – Fun on Wheels.

Here is the result:

FUN ON WHEELS – TTTC212 – CCC92 – PCC521

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Bumblebee Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Left Torn Panel: (2⅞” x 5¼”) Map patterned piece of vellum from the retired Vellum Layering Designs Paper pack overlayed on the same sized piece of Bumblebee Grid paper as above.
    • The top and bottom edges were torn.
  • Right Torn Panel: (2½” x 5”) Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Grungy Grid patterned piece of paper, also from the World of Good Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The top and bottom edges were also torn.
  • Center Torn Memo Panel: (2⅝” x 4½”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Bicycle and the Sentiment were stamped with Early Espresso ink.
    • The top edge was die-cut with the Memo Tab die from the retired Blossoming Happiness Dies set.  (Note – I cut it the wrong way, so I adhered the Memo Tab back to the top edge).
    • Antiquing was added by using the retired Wonderfully Worn Background stamp with Crumb Cake ink and using a Sponge Dauber with more Crumb Cake ink to add color to the edges.
    • Using the retired Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker and the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker, I added color to the Bicycle Frame and Wheels, respectively.

All the panels were adhered to the card base to resemble the sample card chosen from the catalog.
