Epic Celebrations – Musical Interlude

One more deadline for the day…welcome back!

It is June and there are several Masculine challenges about. So, for Paper Players (#643) and Just Add Ink (#655) I created this card with the colors from Just Us Girls (#682) and the sketch from Tuesday Morning (#709).  Let’s have some fun!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Split Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Gray Stone patterned piece of paper from the retired In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The retired Sheet Music Background stamp was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink with the aid of a Stamping Positioning Tool (Stamparatus).
  • The Panel was trimmed into three pieces: (1-7/16” x 5-1/8”), (1-1/4” x 5-1/8”) and (1” x 5-1/8”).
• Shape: Circle: (2½”) Azure Afternoon cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, Here’s to an Epic Celebration, from the retired Epic Celebrations stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Decoration: Guitar: Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap.
  • The Guitar image, also from the Epic Celebrations stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Guitar was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Guitar was popped up with Dimensionals.

A clean and simple card for a no-nonsense kind of guy suitable for almost any occasion.
