Itty Bitty Christmas Package – Very Merry

A very simple little card for you today.

I chose to work with the Inspired By Challenge (#198) for the sketch and the suggested photo inspiration and was influenced by the Less Is More Challenge (#457) for the clean and simple syle, theme and additional color.

So many of the current challenges are using a similar theme and color palette, so I have decided to include them as well.  Time Out (#202), Retro Rubber (#173), and Color Hues (#31).

Here is the result:

ITTY BITTY CHRISTMAS – IB198 – LIM457 – TOC202 – RRCB173 – TCH31

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Linen Specialty Paper.
  • Background Panel: (3½” x 4¾”) Kraft Paper.  The sentiment, Very Merry, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set (Circa 2019) was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Focal Image – Gift Package: (1¾” x 1½”) Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler and Gold plaid patterned paper from the retired Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Bow Trim:  Using a bit of the Simply Elegant Trim in Gold, I created a small bow and added it to the top of the package.

A super quick and easy Holiday card in such cozy Christmas colors.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

  3. I don’t think you can get simpler than this – a great example of a CAS card. Plenty of elements from the photo inspiration and a lovely combination of the two challenges. Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More.

  4. What a beautiful CAS Holiday card!! I love the way you used the DSP to make a gift box, the golden bow is just precious, and I love the texture of your Linen Specialty Paper, it looks like actual cloth, is it??

    1. Hi Maria, Thank you! Yes, the Linen Paper is actually fabric. It comes on a 12 x 12 sheet of backing paper. The fabric has adhesive on the back side for easy placement. The adhesive surprised me. However, I do like the look.
