Golden Anniversary – Congratulations

It so happens that I have been invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of a friend.  I, of course, needed to create a card.

Lots of inspiration out there in the challenge blog world this week…

FUSION – Summer Dreamin’ for the Sketch and a pick up on the soft whites and beiges along with the “golden lace” net bag from the Inspiration Photo; TIC TAC TOE – 120 for the theme, elements and materials, Wedding, Embossing and Gold or alternatively Pink, Anniversary and Free Space (Embossing and/or Gold); and HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS Inspiration Photo – 367 for the Pinks and Golds and especially the top left Swirl pattern.

Here is the result:

I took a few liberties with the width of the three panels.  Especially so, to keep the Lace pattern intact.

Steps:

• Center Panel: (2¼” x 4”) Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Gold Lace Pattern. 
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Shimmery White cardstock.  The sentiment, Congratulations, from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder at the top of the panel.  The bottom (4”) of the panel was dry-embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (EF).  By centering the DSP, the left and right edges visually create the two Side Panels. The EF pattern mimics the Lace background and the net bag from the Fusion Photo.
• Cross Panel: (4” x ¼”) Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon was used to separate the lower three panels from the top and introduce the color Pink to the Gold that was used to create the card, for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Photo.
• Sentiment Label: (2” x 1”) Gold Foil cardstock.  The sentiment, Happy Anniversary, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder then die-cut with one of the Layering Oval Dies.

To complete this card, all of the elements were arranged as per the sketch and adhered to a Shimmery White card base.

Fifty years…that is the remembrance of a wedding fifty times over.  Should we all be so lucky…
