Etched in Nature – Important Friends

Yesterday I took inspiration from the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for the card I made with Embossing Paste.  Today I created a card that was truer to the sketch.  FMS482 is a nice clean layout. I changed the orientation of my card by turning it to a horizontal position to better suit the sentiment I chose.

Our Meetup (dot) com class theme, is afternoon, is Celebration of Women and this is one of the cards I created.

ETCHED IN NATURE – HYDRANGEA HILL DSP – FMS482

My steps:

  • Two strips of the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper were cut.  The floral pattern (3⅞” x 1”) and the more solid pattern (2⅞” x ¾”).
  • From the same Designer Series Paper, I fussy cut one of the Floral Bouquets for my focal point.
  • The sentiment from Etched in Nature was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink in the lower left corner of the Basic White cardstock background panel (3¼” x 5¾”).  The panel was dry-embossed with the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.

All the elements were assembled and adhered to a Basic White card base (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) for the smaller version of a Slim Line card.  A bit of bling?  Three Basic Rhinestone Jewels were added to complete the card.

Quick, easy and very pretty.  A perfect card to let a friend know how important they are to you!
