Over at CAS Colour and Sketches, the challenge this week was color – #409 and I decided to play along!
Here is the result:
To recreate this card:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Terracotta Tile
- Panel: (3¾” x 5⅛”) Basic White die-cut with the large Stitched Rectangle Die. The sentiment, Thank You, is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and stamped in Cajun Craze ink before adding texture with my favorite embossing folder: Subtle 3D.
- Banner: (3¼” x 1¼”) Granny Apple Green die-cut with another Stitched Rectangle Die and also dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image: (2⅝” square) Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper die-cut with one of the square Stitched Shaped Dies. The paper pattern chosen was one of the white and gold sheets. The flowers were colored with Stampin’ Blends: Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Light Cajun Craze standing in for Terracotta Tile. Where flower centers appeared, they were colored with Mango Melody.
After, I put the card together, I think I should have used a few dimensionals to pop the focal image up. But it works as it is.
A simple layout for a quick Thank You card dressed up with the pretty stitched edges.
